The end of May marked the 2015 KUSA Nationals Show (Kennel Union of Southern Africa) of which PetLounge was proud to be a part of.
KUSA keeps records of litters registered and the number of puppies and dogs exported and imported. Their interest in the welfare of dogs was a complete match with PetLounge’s keen interest in animals that are travelling by air.
The show had over 300 participants travelling from different parts of the country along with over 200 spectators. With such a wide-reaching audience this was the perfect place for PetLounge to meet animal lovers alike and answer their questions and concerns around animal air travel.
Rene Rix the Johannesburg AVI Specialist welcomed pet lovers to our stand with informative pamphlets, a sweet treat and a ‘Special Offer’ leaflet. The Petlounge also honoured the top 4 winners each with a PetLounge t-shirt for their owner, and a free flight for the stars of the show.
Throughout the show Rene was on hand to explain the new change in procedure from IPATA which entails that all animals travelling by air can no longer be sent as excess baggage. Instead pets can be sent through the PetLounge where we have a specialised facility and trained staff, that are sensitive to the needs of your precious fury friends!
